Be honest now, do your actions match your ambitions? Meaning are you working towards your goal to “make it happen” every single day? Really, I dare you to do this: take a good look at what you’re doing, are you working as hard as you should, to reach your goals?
I did this little exercise and to be honest, it turns out, I’m wasn’t doing everything it takes to reach my goals. This honest look at myself wasn’t fun. Deep down, I know that I wasn’t up to par, that I should’ve been doing more, I should’ve been “out there” more, I should’ve been meeting with more people, doing more videos, more PR, etc.
I could give this simple excuse: “you know why I’m not up to par? Because I prioritized the work I do for my current clients” Ever since I’ve been in business, my own ambitions have taken a back seat so that my clients could have the best service. But is that really what I’m doing? Am I really offering the best service, if I smother the voice of my ambitions? Click To Tweet
Hey, I’m asking/answering the questions form myself here, but I urge you to do the same.
I think that what I was waiting for was to be sure of what I wanted to do, where I wanted to put my efforts.
Anyway, as it is, my time is filled with the limited amount of clients I have and the renovations on my newly bought house on the weekends. But if I dig a little, I’ve got time… a little bit in the evenings and I can take time off of renos on the weekends to work on my business. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Things are progressing slowly, but at least, they’re not standing still. Every little step counts!
I am doing the work every day with both hands and a good chunk of my brain digging into Facebook and Instagram, and online marketing because it’s important for me to give the very best service to my clients. I learn everything I can about these platforms, and I try it out. Then, I learn everything I can about the ideal clients of my clients, so I know exactly how to talk to them, what works and what doesn’t. Come to think of it, that’s probably why it bugs me so much when people who are talkers and not doers do the talking, but that’s another article (you can read it here).
Listen, I am not saying that I know everything that needs to be known about these platforms. Facebook and Instagram change every single day and it’s hard to keep up. But I’ve been at it every day for more than 10 000 hours, so I know a thing or two.
But that’s neither here nor there. What I’m trying to get at is this: if you have high ambitions and big goals, you need to put in the time and the grind.
When I hear people talking about their goals and how hard it is to reach them, it saddens me. People have a right to achieve their goals dang it! But then I do a little digging find out that they are wasting time with dinner outings, taking pretty much all their evenings and weekends off, and handing out most of their work to subcontractors. REALLY? To quote a phrase from Gary Vaynerchuk: “Employees shouldn’t hustle as hard as you do” – replace employees with subcontractors at will.If you want to achieve your goals, you should be acting in accordance to that. Taking my own advice, I have doubled down on work because what I know of Facebook and Instagram can profit to more people than just my actual clients. I want to offer online training specific to FB publicity and IG. Where other offers only a taste, I want to offer the entire cake! I also want to offer you all the tools you need, to have more confidence and get into the success mindset so that you can attract the clients that you dream of.
So, all I got to say now is watch me. Watch for the posts, the pictures, the updates. And if I miss a step, let me know! 😉
If you want more details on the upcoming training, the services I offer or the Sassy Confidence Box, drop me a line.
